As much or as little as you want. Grainbin imports what it can from your connected platforms automatically, so extensive manual entry isn’t required. Adding things only you know, from field notes and farm history to grain in storage, gives Grainbin more context to work with, but how far you take it is up to you.
Advisor is where Grainbin’s farm intelligence comes to life. Talk to it about the past, present or future of your operation, explore your numbers, compare fields and seasons, or dig deeper into something you’ve noticed. You can also turn your information into reports and documents for your own records or for the people you work with, from FSA and insurance to other local partners.
Yes. Grainbin prices the seed, fertilizer, chemical and diesel recorded on each field, using public input prices or your own, and adds the costs only you know, such as rent, insurance and machinery. From that it shows cost to produce, break-even and margin for every field and crop, and what you need to sell at to hit your goals.
Grainbin does not provide grain marketing advice or tell you when to buy or sell. Markets brings together detailed information from public sources, local prices and other relevant records, then makes it simple to follow what’s happening and understand it in the context of your farm.
Grainbin can be used across crops, but wheat is where we know farming best and where much of the experience behind Grainbin comes from. That means you’ll see particular depth around wheat production, markets and the information that matters to wheat growers.

No. Connections are read-only: Grainbin never changes anything in Operations Center, FieldOps or any other platform. It uses your farm records to build the context of your farm inside the application, where it can inform your history, reports, Markets, Advisor and the rest of your Grainbin experience.
Your farm information is yours. Grainbin does not sell it or make it available to other farmers, advertisers or outside businesses.
Connecting your platforms and working with your information in Grainbin costs nothing. Farm intelligence, which adds farm economics, market briefings and Advisor, is $2,999 a year, with no limits on acres, fields or seasons. Farm data services are quoted separately for each operation.
